From what period does jewelry for masculinity date?
It is difficult to answer this question precisely because there is little information circulating on the subject. But we do know that the use of penis rings has its origins in ancient China. The penis ring, made of jade or ivory, was believed to enable a more powerful and longer erection by blocking blood flow. Many men from Africa and India decorated their penises with multiple ornaments to increase their fertility and virility. In the 1960s, with liberated morality, the penis ring was democratized, although its use still remains somewhat “hidden.”
The success of penis piercing
Male piercings have been around for a long time. Already mentioned in the Kamasutra, the genital piercing in India was an instrument of sexual stimulation for both partners. We have all heard of the most famous piercing: the “Prince Albert” that adorns and pierces the head of the penis. Nowadays there are many models of piercings meant to decorate different specific areas of the sex; frenulum, testicles, glans, etc…. The ornament stimulates the nerves of the particular area and brings a stimulating effect during caresses or sexual acts.
The intimate jewelry, for men, without piercing
Genital jewelry for both men and women really diversified, especially in the early 2000s. A new kind of body jewelry is emerging; the sexual jewelry without piercing. Intimate jewelry has the dual advantage of not requiring penetration of erogenous zones and can be used on demand, sometimes out of a desire to beautify the genitals, sometimes out of a desire to shake up sexuality and the couple.
