Materials and Production
We believe in the ability of materials to hold history and memories. Thick, sturdy, vegetable-tanned Vachetta leather softens and ages beautifully over time, with characteristic scratches and patina that make it enjoyable to touch and wear. The look and feel will evolve over time, just as it was intended. The texture and feel of your SPNKD product will be completely unique to you. Every scratch and stain will remind you of a very special moment.
Maintenance
Protect your cuffs with a waterproof leather spray or by applying beeswax to the entire surface. Clean with glycerin soap paste or water and a soft cotton cloth, without soaking them.
Vegetable tanned leather
There is an ancient and traditional tanning process that uses no chemicals; instead, artisans use natural raw materials such as bark, leaves, fruit, berries, roots, wood. Without the use of chemicals, treating leather from raw to finished leather can take two to three months, in rare cases even a year. Because there is no chemical presence in the process of tanning the leather, the leather retains many good properties such as a pleasant smell, characterized by the scent of the earth. Another remarkable feature is the “Patina” of the leather. For vegetable tanned leather, the “Full grain” top layer is used, which is considered the most valuable and beautiful, so the tanneries choose the highest quality leather for the production of vegetable tanned leather.
